The third day: In the morning the girls had their laugh While sitting at the breakfast table they recognized that the room was quite empty. All the boys were missing, still lying in their beds and sleeping. Then we had to leave soon to catch the train. Only the ones who had washing mission came afterwards by car. At the Staffelsee we visited Libi the youth camp of the dinary. The leaders said they want to teach the kids there Christian believes in an easy way and then to show our Palestinian guests we played „Daumen raus, Ellenbogen ran,…“ The first time we could use the sunny weather in swimming. Some of the boys came to this pleasure a bit earlier without planning. Unfortunately they sank their boat while trying to row the first time. In the late afternoon we returned by bus to monastery (by now „our home“). Many were that tired they used the drive for sleeping and didn’t looked at the countryside which was very beautiful (I was told afterwards). Dinner was ready soon then. We got served the rests of yesterday and the day before yesterday. A small bet came up between the cooks, which would be more prefered. In the evening we came to a more certain subject. „The Iron Wall“ we watched. A film about the situation in Palestine to get to know many things many of us just didn’t hear before. Settlement, Occupation, but still having hope and the believe in freedom.
