The day at the families

The day at the families

8. August 2014

We met our families in the afternoon.
Then we drank coffee and ate cakes.  Also we looked at the wall we did the day before.
As we finally arrived at home, there was a lot to show. The lake of „Tegernsee“, our montains and our house, of course. But in the evening we talked about political situations and the differences in life between Palestine and Germany. The time where we have been enjoying the families was so short.
But really amazing!

The art project

The art project

7. August 2014

In the morning we started our day with a fabulous breakfast. Afterwards we got some time till everyone finished one stancil to try them on a big sheet of paper in front of the building. Then we painted the wall with black and white colour. This part was very funny because we didn’t only paint the wall but also our t-shirts, throusers and skin.
The second part of the day began with lunch, continued with more time for stancils and posters for the wall and ended with the main part of the art project, the creating of the peace wall with all stencils and posters we made.
In the evening we got dinner and went to bed after the vernissage.

The day on Libi

The day on Libi

6. August 2014

First of all, it´s everything but normal that visitors are allowed to go on the Lindenbichliland. It´s a big youth camp with around 300 children and leaders which normally don´t want people to come on their island during the vacation.

We prepared our day with a big and healthy breakfast and some short introductions by Volker who told us some basic behavior-things for example that we had to wear a sunprotection for the head. We started by car and drove around 45 min. to „Seehausen“ where we were waiting for a boat called „d`Fischerin“ which brought us to the Libi island. After the arriving we were brought to camp 11 where we had a delicious lunch. Afterwards we played some funny games with many little children. An experienced leader of Libi showed us the whole camp area. We went to a place where we were allowed to swim in the Staffelsee. At around three o´clock there were some pieces of cake prepared for us.
At 15:30pm we were brought back again. We decided to go shopping in Garmisch-Partenkirchen until 18:15pm. After a long drive home we had dinner and finnaly talked about our visit in Dachau. All in all it was an exiting day on a fabolous island in the magnificent Staffelsee.

The day in the memorial site of the concentration camp Dachau

The day in the memorial site of the concentration camp Dachau

5. August 2014

After we had our breakfast we prepared ourselfes to go to Dachau.
At first we went by car and enjoyed looking out of the window at the beautiful places in Germany. But when we arrived in Dachau the thoughts started to be emotional… We met Abba Naor, a Jew who survived the holocaust. He told us his life story from the beggining in Lithuania and ended up with the surviving the death march in Waakirchen where the americans freed the prisoners. After the interesting speech that he gave us, we took a guided tour through the memorial where we saw the gas chamber, the crematorium and all the other cruels. These tools where used for mass murders. Eventhough we saw the barracks where they`d sleep. After that long exhausting day we gained a lot of information and we learned a tons of leasons from our idol Abba Naor who told us his really moving history.

The fabulous rafting day

The fabulous rafting day

4. August 2014

After our longterm getting up we had our fabulous breakfast. Volker told us about Dachau. Then we drove to the rafting and made a stop at the supermarket for shopping.

At the rafting place we ate our fabulous lunch and got our introduction for the very exciting rafting. But sadly three people couldn’t go with us 🙁  We still had our fun.
After the rafting we were very wet and had a bright smile in our face 😀 We drove home and had dinner and spare time… In the late evening we played games and had a campfire. Valentin played the guitar and we all sang the fabulous songs. After that we went very slowly to bed… it took a long time until everybody was really sleeping. 😉  We hope you enjoyed our fabulous and magnificent blog comment.

Munich

Munich

2. August 2014

At Saturday the 02.08.2014 we woke up at 8 o’clock. The breakfast was so fabulous. We made lunch-packets by ourselves and it was very funny because the toast wasn’t toasted and there were fruitsticks and everybody loves them. So all the guys were standing around the bowl with the fruitsticks and it was a kind of „fight“ :-).

At 9.51 am we took the train to munich. Our tour started with the first problem:
we had to find the way to the underground.
But we are the „champions“ so at last we get the right train to our first station of the sightseeing tour, the big BMW-world. Of course the boys ran into the building and were searching for the new car of BMW. This was the first time that we eat something. After this we went to the Olympiapark. One half of the group made a little picnic and the other half were climbing  the hill in the Olympiapark by 26 degree.

After this short break we went to the university of munich. It`s also a memorial-place of Hans and Sophie Scholl and co. Before we went into the building, Tim, Jonas, Volker and me (Nathalie) had a really emotional talk about the „Hitler time“. After that we went to the Marienplatz to go shopping. We made groups and went happy through the city. Some of us bought only sweets, sweets and more sweets and of course a lot of BIFI. Unfortunately it started to rain during the shopping tour but this wasn’t a problem because we are not from sugar. We met us at the same place where we started and after this we went back home. After the magnificent dinner we learned a little bit of arabic dance. We had a lot of fun. The last programm at the evenin was to sing a very nice song and Valentin played the guitar. The leader said that we had to be asleep by 11 pm. But we were still awake until 2 am. We played „UNO“, some of us take a shower, before we fall in our beautysleep.
It was a perfect day.

The first day

The first day

1. August 2014

In the morning we woke up and went to help making breakfast. Before having breakfast, we always start with singing songs like „pflanze einen traum in den Sand“.
After having breakfast we went with the boys to play football together. Playing football with the boys was difficult because they are a LITTLE better than us. We were waiting for the other Palestinians to arrive. In this time, all of us played kicker, ping-pong, and billiard which were very funny.
After a couple of hours, they arrived and we all ate lunch together. After lunch, all of us went to the big grass fields and started playing fabulous action and ice-breaking games to get to know each other more.it was easy to get to know each other all because of the funny games we played. After all this fun, it was dinner time with delicious food made by us.

Next, we watched a movie about Sophie and Hans Scholl who were siblings that fought for their freedom by words. The movie was very long so most of the tired Palestinians went to bed, and the rest of us stayed watching the movie. The film was very good, although, it was depressing because Sophie and Hans Scholl died at the end. We all sat down in a circle when the movie ended and started discussing it. And last but not least, we all went to bed and slept comfortably until the following day.
